Meet Dr. Swapnil Kumar Barasker

I started my medical journey in 2006 when I joined MBBS at Government Medical College, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It was during my internship residency that I realized how relieving someone’s pain can be so vital/satisfying. I did my MD from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College and Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital, Indore in Anaesthesiology. During my master’s training, I focused a lot on post-operative pain management during my follow-ups and made the plan to study further about Pain Medicine. To achieve my dream, I went to the prestigious Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute, Lucknow for my Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pain Medicine.

After completing my Fellowship, I joined AIIMS, Bhopal to harness my skills in Pain Medicine. Later in 2021, I returned to Indore to provide the much-needed Pain medicine speciality to my beloved city Indore.

I am also a passionate academician associated with Aurobindo Medical College, Indore. As it allows me to interact with and teach young brains in the medical field.

I have multiple publications in nonpredatory Journals.
